I know for a fact req8 still drop got a gold req8 Fellblade Tyrian 15(stance) max dmg and it was dropped in Talus Chute

Thats quite unlikely, tyrian gold max req8 Fellblade now is as probable as a req7 one before that dreaded update. And how many Gold Max req.7 Fellblades have you seen in the old times?

There are two problems with finding max R7 weapons.
First of all, loot scaling decreased the chance of getting a R7 a lot.
Second and related to this, the areas that were farmed and dropped R7's (like vermins) don't attract farmers anymore.
Most players who might find one will probably stumble upon them and merch them since they don't know about the rarity.

I know Gaile 'confirmed' they still drop, but I've seen no screenshot of a drop for ages. Does a tree that falls in a forest make a sound when no-one is around to hear it?

I can confirm R8 Max inscribable items do still drop, this dropped for me yesterday while farming raptors:

Of course it is blue unfortunatly, so I can't confirm purple/gold items I'm afraid.

Might have something to do with the point that neither of those 2 items (gold insc r7 anything, and non-insc r7 bow) were ever confirmed. But me, and probably a lot of people, would love to be proven wrong.

I have an gold, R7, Recurve bow I got from Proph. area as a drop about 3 months ago. Its inscribable, but only has a damage level of 12-21, which isn't a max bow. I've held on to it, but was told it wasn't worth anything.

Or at least I was pretty sure that's were I got the drop. I know that insrib. weapons are supposed to be only in Eotn or nightfall. But I don't farm Eotn or nightfall areas. I remember it being on a farm run because I showed it to other members of my family when it happened and was told to hang on to it. Could have sworn up and down it came from the North Kryta area, but with that in mind, makes me wonder if I am remembering the drop location now or not.

If I can figure out how to do a "screen shot', I'll post a picture of it with the stats. (I'll have to ask my 13 yr son how to do it. lol)

The last thread about "req7 max items with inscription" got closed about a year ago because nobody could confirm it and there was a guy who tried to fake it. We know that nonmax items with inscription slot drop with req0-13 (which definitely includes req7), and max req7 items without inscription also drop, that's all. These items are not that rare either.
